Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging
We recognize that a variety of ideas, backgrounds and experiences is crucial to our employees' ability to reach their fullest potential.
We are accountable.
Pivot’s commitment to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging isn’t just our company policy, it comes from our people. We are respectful, honest, and care deeply for each other as individuals.
Our employees came together in 2020 to create a formal Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging committee. Led by employees and in close cooperation with executive leadership, the EDIB committee drives Pivot’s strategy and goals to become a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive company where everyone belongs. This committee helps promote these values in every aspect of our business.
- Working on ourselves. We’ve partnered with an outside consultant for DEI education for every employee. We’re sharing information on important current events and the historical background to deepen our understanding of social justice issues.
- Centering EDIB in all areas of our business. Beginning with employee experience, all-hands meetings to leadership planning meetings to departmental meetings and check-ins, we’re building EDIB initiatives into our chart of work. There’s no area of our business where DEI does not apply.
- Choosing partners thoughtfully. We actively seek out women and minority owned suppliers and companies with proactive EDIB, social responsibility, and sustainability programs. We prioritize WMBE businesses as an integral part of our supplier network.
When we see so many injustices around us, we can’t, in good conscience, proceed with business as usual. For too long, “business as usual” has been systematically unjust. At Pivot we are committed to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging– not just to benefit our company and culture, but because we are personally invested in doing better and being better.
