Recently, Pivot was featured on America ByDesign for our collaboration with Studio One Eleven and the transformation of their RDC–Studio One Eleven Workplace and Urban Lab in Long Beach, California.
This project transformed a former department store into a vibrant collaborative office and community hub for RDC. From the start, workstations were a central priority—they wanted solutions that were not only functional but also creative, unique, and reflective of their identity as an architecture-focused organization. The design process was highly collaborative, resulting in work environments that broke away from the generic, prioritizing ergonomic comfort, integrated storage, and flexible spaces for teamwork. Eight years later, the furniture and workstations have proven to be remarkably resilient, continuing to perform beautifully and support the team’s evolving needs.
