Lucid Motors

Growing at an accelerated pace, Lucid worked with Pivot to navigate the quickly-changing landscape of the workplace in 2020.

In early 2020, Lucid Motors was laser-focused and growing fast to meet a September launch date for their groundbreaking new electric vehicle. Then came Covid-19.

“We were midway through design of Building 2 when Covid hit" says account lead Maribel Ramos. Pivot worked closely with Lucid to determine next steps and agreed to move forward, incorporating rapidly emerging new safety recommendations. Our designer quickly modified the floorplan and the typical workstation design to accommodate new safety protocols and increased physical distancing.

It was a leap of faith for Lucid, trusting Pivot’s team to apply brand new safety guidelines as they were only just being created. Working closely with the client, the Pivot team quickly shifted the design and strategy and aligned with trusted manufacturer partners to execute on the modified product specifications. With agile thinking and solid relationships, the Pivot team was able to meet the new requirements as well as the scheduled move-in dates.

“Our manufacturer partners met the challenge of a customized solution, under budget and at scale with a quick turnaround – and during an incredibly uncertain time in the industry,” says Maribel. “The client was thrilled we were able to meet the move-in date, allowing their product launch to stay on schedule.”

Pivot’s exceptional full-service team and solid industry partnerships enable us to meet every challenge head-on. It’s part of how we’ve earned the lasting trust of innovative clients like Lucid.
