Laguna Beach Friendship Shelter

The Laguna Beach Friendship Shelter is a nonprofit homeless services agency dedicated to ending homelessness through a full continuum of care, including outreach, emergency shelter, housing navigation, financial assistance, and permanent supportive housing.

To enhance the emergency shelter experience for individuals facing homelessness, Pivot transformed a 2,200-square-foot trailer from an open dormitory-style environment with co-ed cots into a more comfortable and dignified semi-private living space. The project featured the installation of innovative sleep pods by Gebesa, creating individual areas that offer increased privacy, personal storage, and a greater sense of security for residents during their short-term stay.

Working closely with the client, our team delivered a thoughtful and cost-effective solution that aligned with the project's grant-funded budget requirements. The resulting space significantly improved resident comfort and functionality while supporting Friendship Shelter's mission to provide safe, welcoming, and effective emergency housing services.
