This upscale lounge for Air France was intentionally redesigned with comfort and productivity in mind, with dedicated, connected workspaces and a separate, luxury “Le Premiere” lounge space.

The eight-month renovation in SFO’s Terminal A added square footage and additional seating to the space, totaling 117 seats for Air France’s first- and business-class customers. Pivot worked with the client and designer to incorporate branding into the design of the space, using primarily Air France’s shades of blue, white, and touches of red for furniture pieces and finishes.

Seating and café tables in the space reflect a distinctively European style, both compact in size and modern in shape. Precise edges and wood and leather exude sophisticated style, and plush lounge chairs invite travelers in for a rest, with well-thought-out connectivity and charging ports throughout the space.

Many of the pieces featured in the lounge are from European brands, including iconic egg-shaped armchairs from Fritz Hansen, the Grand Repos chair from Vitra and loungers from Lema. The space also features a buffet area with a Parisian brasserie concept with Pedrali café tables and bar stools. The confidential, exclusive Le Premiere area is hidden behind a faux wall and comes with a dedicated bartender and Pierre Paulin tulip chairs, taking the space up a notch for first class passengers.
