A pivotal moment spurs growth.
Before joining Pivot, Nick worked with a small custom wood shop to help grow their business.
A successful custom table project for a high-end commercial client in Qingdao, China laid the foundation for a trusting relationship. This led to the subsequent commission of a beautiful new custom collection to furnish the stunning executive floor of their landmark 2M sq ft office project. Nick finds that scaling up to meet global demands is an amazing challenge, and incredibly rewarding.

When an elderly residential customer fell in love with a salvaged wood block table, Nick hand-delivered it and they sat down for some tea while she regaled him with amazing stories of San Francisco's vibrant past. It's always worth taking the time to connect with people and their stories.
