Fresh Perspectives: Studio Visit With Brian Graham
Brian Graham was gracious enough to invite us for a visit to his studio in San Francisco where we got a peek into his sketchbooks and learned about his design process and career.

Graham studied Interior Architectural Design at California State University, Long Beach, where he later served as an adjunct professor. He says spending time with colleagues in the Industrial Design department made furniture design an easy transition.
“I’m an interior designer who has evolved into a furniture designer, and it informs everything that I do. While it's important to understand the object that we're designing, it’s even more vital to understand how it’s going to be used. That’s why planning is the foundation of everything that we do.”
For twenty years brands such as Martin Brattrud, Geiger, OFS, Knoll, Corral and Decca have come to rely on this strategic approach to the design, development and marketing of workplace furniture.
Graham Design was founded in 1999, and the firm’s work has been recognized by the most prestigious organizations in the U.S., including the American Institute of Architects (AIA), The International Interior Design Association (IIDA), Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture & Design, and The International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) and The Industrial Design Society of America (IDSA).
"Right now" Graham says ‘We’re in prototype season!’ We are all looking forward to seeing more exciting pieces hopefully debuting at NeoCon this June!
