With San Francisco Design Week around the corner, I would love to share a few ideas that can serve as an introductory roadmap to your Design Week adventures. Pivot Interiors is hosting a great luncheon about Living Office Settings in our SF showroom on Tuesday, June 12th! Come join us for a thought-provoking event and shift the way you think about your space.

I highlighted a few other events that take place on Tuesday if you have the time to check them out after our event! They are truly a reflection of some of my favorite local gems and events that design week has to offer. Cheers to a thriving city full of beautiful places, people, and inspiration!

P.S. Make sure you’re checking for ticket availability for some of these events through SFDW’s website, as space might be limited: https://2018.sfdesignweek.org/

Hardwater Bar

Pier 3, The Embarcadero, San Francisco, CA 94111

Hardwater Bar

Stop in for a pregame cocktail at Hardwater Bar off of The Embarcadero! Their Mint Juleps are just one of my favorites from their wonderful cocktail list, and the backdrop of San Francisco Bay is the perfect way to kick off a fun night celebrating design. Learn More >>

The Bird

115 New Montgomery St, San Francisco, CA 94105

The Bird Sf

Start your day off right with breakfast at SF hot spot, The Bird! Try their Fried Chicken Biscuit sandwich, with a “hash round” and a cup of coffee for a delicious start to the day. Insider tip: add a fried egg if you’re hungry! They open at 7:30 AM and are located a few blocks from a great event being hosted to discuss Resimercial Design trends in our market. Learn More >>

"Resimercial" Design

101 Natoma Street, 2nd Floor

Jeff King

Enjoy a conversation about the “resimercial” design approach over coffee with like-minded design professionals. This is a perfect prelude to our next recommendation, a luncheon at our own Pivot Interiors, SF! Get Tickets >>

Designing Your Dream Workspace With Living Office

Pivot Interiors, 703 Market Street, 14th Floor

Composite2

Only an 8 minute walk from the Resimercial Design event, our 14th floor showroom is a perfect example of how the design trend is making an impact in today’s workspaces. Not to mention, the views from our space are a perfect way to enjoy the city, have lunch, and meet new people, all while learning about Living Office Design Principles. Get Tickets >>

One Kearny Building

23 Geary St, San Francisco, CA 94108

One Kearny 1

Experience the local hood! Right across the street from Pivot is one of my favorite places to pause. Here you will find one of San Francisco’s finest POPOS (Privately Owned Public Open Spaces) at the top of One Kearny (also the home of our Herman Miller partners’ beautiful showroom)! Take in some fantastic views and sunshine on the rooftop garden, catch up on emails, or just breathe. Let the doorman know that you’re visiting the public rooftop and they will be happy to let you up! Learn More >>

Four Seasons Hotel

757 Market St, San Francisco, CA 94103

Four Seasons

Another great place to stop between meetings is The Four Seasons Hotel. Their lobby is up a few floors from street level on the fifth floor and boasts a relaxing lounge, WiFi, and full bar to order an early afternoon coffee or celebratory glass of Prosecco! Learn More >>

Autodesk Tour

Pier 27, The Embarcadero, San Francisco, CA 94111

Autodesk Tour

Shifting back towards the Embarcadero (a lovely walk from Market Street area or a quick BART/Muni ride), it’s always fun to stop into the Ferry Building for a glimpse into what local food and lifestyle vendors are showcasing. If you can score tickets to the 3:30 pm tour of Autodesk, it’s such a fun and interactive way to see what is on the forefront of our tech-based industry and experience innovation firsthand. Dynamic Minds

127 Utah Street, San Francisco, CA 94103

Dzine

If you feel like venturing into Mission District (a 15 minute drive from Embarcadero and one of my favorite areas of the city), there is a great seminar focusing on three leading SF Designers and their design process, latest works, and newest ideas. They will serve Prosecco and appetizers from 5:30 pm-7:00 pm, with presentations beginning at 7:00 pm. What an exciting way to dive into the minds of some of SF’s finest!
