FRESH & Local: Visit to SOBU
Pivot SF visits local designers Laleh and Alessandro Latini at their SOBU studio in Oakland.

The Pivot design team is passionate about great design. We're always on the lookout for beautiful new products -- especially when they are made locally! On a recent outing we visited SOBU, the Oakland shop of husband-and-wife designers Laleh and Alessandro Latini.
Alessandro is a former architect and was also a designer for Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel. Laleh is a graphic designer and photographer. Together, the two design and make modern heirloom-quality furniture and accessories with personality and warmth.
As companies seek ways to create inviting spaces for employees, the trend toward residential-feeling furniture is a natural progression. You can see this in Adobe's recent HQ Renovation where SOBU's Reclaimed Teak Rockers create a relaxing vibe.
SOBU's work is also featured in our latest edition of FRESH, Vol 8: A&D Perspectives Northern California.
In addition to the amazing work they have currently in production, SOBU can also develop custom pieces for your project. Contact us to source their amazing work for your next project!
